② Landform

 Facing the Seto Inland Sea, the city features inlets and low hills around Kasado Bay.
 Kasado Island extends from the east and is linked to the mainland by a sea bridge.
 Much of the area consists of gentle hills and marine terraces with residential districts.
 A warm climate and the proximity of sea and mountains typify the Setouchi landscape.

③ Industry

 A coastal industrial cluster (shipbuilding, chemicals, machinery) lines the waterfront, while commerce and services spread inland. Marine leisure and camping on Kasado Island are popular.
Local specialties

• Kasado flounder (hirame): Premium locally farmed fish.
• Kasado wakame: Seaweed from the Seto Inland Sea.
